Jared and Taffin met briefly back in 2015, but didn’t reconnect again until summer 2016 at a music festival, and began dating shortly after. They adopted Whisky in 2018, Jared “popped” the question with a Ring-Pop (yes, a Ring-Pop!) at the end of 2019, and then they had a secret, intimate backpacking elopement in summer 2020 on their four year anniversary, in the middle of a pandemic! They spent their honeymoon week backpacking, trailer camping, and hiking and fishing in their favourite places in Alberta. After eloping, they decided another pup needed to be added to the family, so they adopted Echo to complete the adventure pack at the end of 2020. They call Rural Mountain View County home, and are just outside a small hamlet located north west of Cochrane, Alberta. They recently bought an acreage and are working hard to bring their homesteading dreams to life.
Jared and Taffin share their love for adventuring together with Whisky and Echo in wild places, and love documenting their family adventures. Their love and passion for photography started before they met, Jared focusing more on wildlife and landscapes, and Taffin more on portraiture, but they have come together and blended their styles to create Evans-Anderson Photo.
