Cassandra & David (and Watson & Mary)
We were so excited when David contacted us and told us he was planning a surprise proposal around Cassandra’s favourite time of year – Christmas! We had a whole thing worked out, we would ask them to “model” for us for an idea we wanted to shoot in their newly renovated living space and capture the proposal during the session! But when David is a bad secret keeper, and Cassandra is a good sleuth, he ended up proposing a week before the photos!
While the surprise proposal was no longer on the table, the in-home Christmas engagement photos were still going to happen. Cassandra and David have been working on renovating their house, and had recently upgraded their living area, so capturing them with the changes and the most festive Christmas decor was the perfect way to celebrate their engagement.
Cass and Dave’s two pups, Watson and Mary, joined in on the celebrations, giving lots of love and kisses to the newly engaged couple throughout the session, and stealing the show a couple times with their adorable puppy eyes. Cassandra and David cuddled and laughed in front of their tree, they celebrated with rose champagne next to the fireplace with their stockings hung, and enjoyed the Christmas season, while talking about their wedding plans.
While we didn’t get to capture the special moment of the proposal, we had so much fun chatting and laughing while admiring Cassandra’s new bling, and we’re so excited for them to begin the next chapter of their lives together.
